Mr Scott Winters Administrator & Middle School Teacher  (Grades 6-8)

Scott has over thirty years of teaching and administrating experience in Christian Schools. He has been with Sonrise going on four years now and has lived in the Mid-Columbia area since 1985.     He says "I love Jesus Christ. I love to teach.  Sonrise Academy gives me the perfect setting to express both of these in combination with a great curriculum and and excellent staff."            Luke 9:23-24 ~ Than He said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it."

Miss Joyce Lee  Primary (Grades K-2)

Joyce is licensed to teach in both New York State and Oregon.      After 36 years in public education with special training in developmental assessment, Math and Reading, she has been delighted to teach at Sonrise for the last nine years where she can address the needs of the whole child - to help them "increase in wisdon, stature, and favor with God and man."

Mrs Lorraine Nelson   Monitor/Aide      Lorraine began homeschooling her children 25 years ago in California.  She's continued homeschooling off and on since.  She was certified through Christian Light Education.      She has been working for Sonrise going on five years.  With the exception of her various duties, she also assists in the Middle & High school classes.      Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
